Pros
- In the democracy the people have a say
- Usually split up the power
- in the assembly anyone could propose an idea
- The leaders were voted on in some forms of governments
- anyone that people liked could be the ruler
Cons
- some leaders came into power that were unkind
- in tyrannys and oligarchies the government officials came into power for their own means
- only certain people could vote
- wasn't fair because only some people could read and write
- single rulers couldn't always control everything in their power
Roman Governments
Pros
- People have a say in the republic
- usually the power is split up between people
- the leaders are well liked and good people when voted on
- anyone, even the poorest citizens could be the leader in the republic
- In a tetrarchy the juniors could learn from the leaders before they became the leaders
Cons
- Not everyone could vote
- There weren't always elections
- some tyrants were really evil
- sometimes there was chaos when the single rulers couldn't control their power
- oligarchs don't always care about the city
