Monarchy

Each system of government had a different affect on the rest of society.These are some of the ways that the government affected the society and how changing from on form to another affected the society:

• The king has all the power and it could overwhelm him and the government might become weak or unstable
• If the king is overwhelmed and the government unstable then other city-states or empires could conquer them
• No one feels important except the king, because no one else has any power(unless it is an elected monarchy, in which case still only some or few people can elect)
  
• The first leader could be great and the second could be terrible if it is through family(this would be less likely to happen if the monarch is elected by the people)
• The monarch may pay too much attention to one part of the empire, and the other parts may go crazy(army is conquered, or life becomes bad and dirty)
• The monarch has complete control over life so there would probably be less fighting
•  the army is under his complete control so there are no generals to disagree with him(unless the monarch appoints generals and they still have power over the generals)
• If the leader has good control then other empires would be afraid to attack
  

Tyranny

• The leader may not be liked
• The person can be anyone who defeats the former leader
• There is no election ever
• (mostly everything in the monarchy)
  

Oligarchy

• They could conquer more land because one leader could send the army to conquer while the other leaders kept everything together

• The multiple leaders might try to conquer each other and the city would have chaos and be weak
• Rulers can be selfish and people may not like them(they don't get to vote)
  
• They may not do what they are suppsosed to do because they are selfish and the city would go into chaos
• The city is not stable because the oligarchs are always fighting
• The people are usually somewhat happy because if they weren't they would throw the oligarchs out of power
  

Timocracy

• The leader was a military leader with honor and a certian amount of land
  
• Some citizens got to choose the leader
• The leader was from the army so they propably conquered a lot of land
• The leader was liked(for the most part)
  

Aristocracy

• The "best" rule, and are usually wise and smart and help
• some people get to vote
• the city is made better because the leaders do good for the people
• The people generaly liked the leaders and were happy
• They are smart and the army likes them so they can conquer land
  

Democracy

• The people got to have a straight say(in the direct democracy)
  
• The leaders was elected and probably liked
• Since uneducated people could vote, sometimes the laws that were made and not made weren't good
• They won some wars and conquered some land while they had a democracy because anyone could propose an idea
• Everything pretty much depended on the vote
